PROJECT: Youth Homelessness Needs Assessment in Rural Communities

/ CHALLENGE

The Task Force needed localized data on youth homelessness and related issues to inform service delivery in a rural Western New York community.

/ SOLUTION

A&O developed and administered a survey to nearly 800 middle and high school students across six school districts, probing sensitive topics in an age-appropriate manner.

/ OUTCOME

Findings gave the Task Force a nuanced understanding of youth homelessness and informed actionable strategies for schools and community agencies.
